About Us

Connections Counseling Center is an outpatient mental health practice built on the belief that great mental health therapy begins with supporting the therapists themselves. We create a culture where clinicians can thrive professionally, personally, and collaboratively, so they can provide meaningful, high quality care to their clients. At Connections, our focus is on real people doing meaningful work in a supportive environment, surrounded by colleagues who are equally committed to excellence and growth.

Our Clinical Approach

We believe therapy is a deeply human process rooted in relationship, curiosity, and the slow untying of old knots. Our work is relationship centered, attachment aware, and depth oriented. We don’t just hand out worksheets or quick fixes; instead, we support clients in developing deep, lasting understanding and healing.

Our owner comes from a psychoanalytic background and is passionate about providing therapy where clients aren’t treated as numbers, checkboxes, or problems to solve. They’re people with stories, histories, defenses that once kept them safe, and longings that deserve acknowledgement and care. Healing happens through experience and presence, not pressure or a focus on behavior modification. We lean into the therapeutic relationship as the primary place where insight, change, and new emotional patterns can grow.

If this idea brings you joy and energy, this is the place for you!

We're Looking For a Licensed Counselor (LPC, LMFT, LISW/LMSW, or similar)

We’re looking for a grounded, compassionate clinician who values collaboration and connection, enjoys being part of a supportive community, and wants room to grow their craft without the burden of running the business or administrative aspects that often cause stress and get in the way. At Connections Counseling Center, we handle all marketing, scheduling, and billing so you can focus on what matters most: caring for yourself, your family, and your clients.

What You'll Do

  • Provide therapy to childer, teens, adults, and/or families depending on your specialty and interests (Bonus if you are trained in EMDR).

  • Maintain a caseload that supports high-quality clinical work and real life balance.

  • Receive ongoing case support from qualified peers who care about the work as much as you do.

  • Participate in a team culture that encourages learning, connection, and steady professional development.

  • Complete documentation that is timely and clinically thoughtful.

  • Continue growing your clinical voice through trainings, resources, and mentorship.

What We Offer

  • Full administrative support including all marketing, scheduling, billing, and client communication so you can focus on caring for yourself, your family, and your clients

  • A warm, collaborative team that values honesty, kindness, and grounded professionalism.

  • Monthly team lunches for connection, support, and breathing room.

  • Regular gatherings for fun, bonding, and a chance to feel genuinely appreciated in a job that can feel heavy at times.

  • Beautiful office space and a practice culture built around respect, boundaries, and sustainability.

  • Flexibility within daytime hours and the ability to shape a meaningful clinical schedule.

  • Leadership that listens, supports, and invests in your long-term well-being.

  • CEU stipends and opportunities for specialized training.

What Makes This Role a Fit

You’re a good fit if you enjoy real connection, value community, and want to grow without burning out. You’re steady, curious, and committed to practicing therapy with integrity. You want a practice that feels like a healthy, meaningful working space, not another thing to manage.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or related field.

  • Full or associate licensure in South Carolina.

  • Experience in providing therapy.

  • Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and ongoing learning.

  • Desire to collaborate and contribute to a supportive team environment.
